What it does

Works without internet
The counter never waits for a network. Bill all day with the line down; nothing is lost.
Fast at the counter
Scan a barcode or type a few letters, change quantity, press F12 to take payment. Several bills open at once in tabs.
Receipts and A4 invoices
Thermal receipt printers and A4 sheets, with your logo, address and GSTIN. Design your own bill format.
Stock that adds up
Purchases, opening stock, wastage and stock counts. Stock value from what you actually paid, and a reorder list when items run low.
Batch and expiry
For medicines and packaged food: batch number and expiry on every delivery, soonest-expiry sold first, and a list of what expires soon.
Khata (credit)
Sell on credit, take part payments, set credit limits, and print a statement for any customer.
Returns and loyalty
Returns against the original bill, refunded in cash or to the customer's account. Loyalty points if you want them.
Staff and roles
Each cashier signs in with their own login. You decide who can change prices, give discounts or cancel bills.
Backups every day
An automatic backup every day, and a copy to a USB stick or a Google Drive folder if you choose one.
Reports
Sales by day, item and payment method, profit, outstanding credit, cash drawer counts, and GST figures for filing.
More than one counter
With the Business plan, add counters on your shop's Wi-Fi. They keep each other up to date, and keep billing if the Wi-Fi drops.

No plan ever stops your shop taking money. If a Cloud subscription ends, the shop goes back to the Free plan on one counter, with all its data.
Download
For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
- Download the installer and run it.
- Windows may say it “protected your PC” because the installer is new. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Enter your shop's name and choose an administrator password. That is all it needs to start billing.
- The Getting started list on the Dashboard walks you through the rest: address and GST, printer, items, stock and backups.
Updates arrive by themselves when the computer is online. You choose when to install them, never in the middle of a sale.
Questions
Where is my data kept?
On your own computer, in the shop. ShopOS does not send your bills, customers or stock anywhere. Backups go where you tell them to: the same PC, a USB stick, or your own Google Drive folder.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Nothing. ShopOS never needs the internet to bill. It only goes online to check for updates, and to reach your other counters if you have more than one.
Can I bring my items from another software?
Yes. Export them to a spreadsheet (CSV) and use Import from CSV on the Inventory screen. Customers and suppliers can be imported the same way.
Which printers work?
Most thermal receipt printers installed in Windows, and any printer for A4 invoices.
I am not GST registered. Can I still use it?
Yes. Tell it so in Settings and it prints a plain invoice without tax. Composition dealers get a bill of supply.
What if I stop paying?
Your shop keeps billing. Free is free for ever, and a Business licence is yours to keep. Only a Cloud subscription ends, and then the shop continues on the Free plan with all its data.
