Using ShopOS

You may install ShopOS and use the Free plan in your business, on one counter, at no charge and for as long as you like. The Business and Cloud plans are sold separately and add more counters and services.

What you pay for

Business is a one-time payment for a licence that does not expire. Cloud is a monthly subscription. Prices are those agreed when you buy, and an invoice is issued for every payment.

If a subscription ends

Your shop can always bill. If a Cloud subscription ends and you do not hold a Business licence, ShopOS makes one final sync, then continues on the Free plan on one counter with all your data. Other counters stop taking new bills until the subscription is renewed or a Business licence is bought.

Updates

Updates are free on every plan. ShopOS offers them when your computer is online, and installs them only when you choose to.

Your data and your records

Your data is yours and stays on your computer. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for keeping backups somewhere safe, and for your own tax filings. ShopOS helps you calculate GST correctly but does not file returns for you, and you should check its figures before filing.

No warranty beyond what the law requires

ShopOS is provided as it is. We work to keep it correct and fix problems when they are reported, but we are not liable for losses from errors, lost data or interruptions, beyond what applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

What you may not do

You may not resell ShopOS, share a Business licence with another business, or alter the program to get around its licence.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applied when you paid applies to that purchase.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
